Dodeka
One of the most intriguing properties we have had the pleasure to work on. A listed ‘dodecagon’ chalet structure from the 1920s made from plywood. It has the most horrendous bungaloid attached to it and the brief got our creativity working hard with a client who is keen to rejuvenate the protected heritage asset but at the same time add a contemporary addition to replace the rubbish!
With significant pre-application consultations with Planning, the Heritage Team and the National Trust the resultant design was approved. It has been designed with energy efficiency at the forefront of the proposal for the new build as well as to enhance the retained 12 sided chalet.
