Originally a timber shack constructed from recovered timber on the beach this house had been adapted over, and over again resulting in a disparate building. The design developed to homogenize the house as a single entity utilising a limited palette of materials and consistent architectural forms all directed to the Atlantic Ocean and the river feeding into it. The result allows the occupiers to feel they have the sea in their living room.

Raised just above the beach on Cornwall’s north coast this property has long reaching views over blue seas and golden sands.

The build from inception to completion has been a labour of love from the clients.

The project has been featured as part of the Channel 4 documentary “Finding the Cornish Dream”.

A surfboard is a necessity for a visit.
