Originally built in the 1960s this simple yet simple modernist stlyed home has been in need of some simple renovations and alterations.
The Boathouse has an approval to completely overhaul it and extend but the owners wish to retain its inherent architectural charm as a modernist type box until such time the desire to increase its volume comes forth as phase 2 of the works.
Set in an isolated location with access only via fields this little home is a secret gem for playing swallows and amazons. We have replaced the roof, all windows and doors, an additional bedroom added through internal redesigns as well as repairs to the walls and floors. This phase 1 include the installation of a large stainless steel balcony that allows the residents to almost sit on top of the water when the tide is high.
