This miner’s cottage was lacking a light and spacious kitchen dining area.
These proposals replace a 1970’s extension with a modern sensitive scheme providing a high quality space allowing the residents to revel in a volume and light that is not normally associated with a 19th century traditional cottage.
This design provides a simple contrast of new against old at the rear of the property ensuring the traditional vernacular is unaffected.
