This gorgeous little village hall is steeped in creative history; well used by a variance of groups and passionately cared for by a dedicated group of locals, this scheme is providing the community with a facility that is responding to the needs of the 21st Century.
A simple design concept will provide much needed dedicated ancillary accommodation in order to release the main feature of the hall as the flexible space it needs to be, i.e. left unencumbered without the hassles of storage and conflicts of differing pressures of uses.
The scheme proposals ensure the original structure is respected, retained and renovated – a new modern yet traditionally formed extension follows the lines of the existing historic form but there is a clear delineation of new and old – this retains clarity and respect.
