BARNS AND FARMYARDS

This 18th Century farmyard complex has been adapted and altered over the years. Currently part occupied the owners are having the existing main structures meticulously renovated by a  master craftsman.

These scheme proposal provided an improved conversion reflecting the scale of this long barn; incorporating, extensive living spaces, double height rooms and high quality family  accommodation. In addition a new dwelling is to be provided as part of the whole redevelopment.

The new dwelling is part conversion of a 20th Century two storey barn and part extensions to afford a commensurate level of accommodation fitting of the scale of the site.  The  arrangement of these responds to the enclosures traditional farmyards create and as well as ensuring a hierarchical language that ensures the primary barn retains the focus.

Both dwellings are being constructed using PassivHaus principles.

Currently part on site.
