This 18th Century farmyard complex has been adapted and altered over the years. Currently part occupied the owners are having the existing main structures meticulously renovated by a master craftsman.
These scheme proposal provided an improved conversion reflecting the scale of this long barn; incorporating, extensive living spaces, double height rooms and high quality family accommodation. In addition a new dwelling is to be provided as part of the whole redevelopment.
The new dwelling is part conversion of a 20th Century two storey barn and part extensions to afford a commensurate level of accommodation fitting of the scale of the site. The arrangement of these responds to the enclosures traditional farmyards create and as well as ensuring a hierarchical language that ensures the primary barn retains the focus.
Both dwellings are being constructed using PassivHaus principles.
